Press conference to be held after opposition meeting at Parliament

Kathmandu, January 17 — The opposition parties are set to hold a meeting today.

The meeting will take place at 2:00 PM at the office of the leader of the main opposition party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', who is also the chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre) in New Baneshwor.

After the meeting, the opposition parties will organize a press conference at the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor. The joint press conference is scheduled for 3:00 PM.

Earlier, on Wednesday, a meeting of the opposition parties was held at the parliamentary office of the Maoist party in Singha Durbar.

This meeting had decided to oppose the ordinance brought by the government and to press for the calling of a parliamentary session.
