Stock market rises by 14 points, NEPSE index reaches 2626.31
Kathmandu, December 24 — The stock market index (NEPSE) increased by 14 points, reaching 2626.31 on Tuesday.
Along with the rise in the market, the trading volume also saw a slight increase.
A total of 312 companies traded 12.746 million shares, amounting to a turnover of NPR 5.2 billion 22 million.
On Monday, the turnover was NPR 4.37 billion.
Among the companies traded on Tuesday, the share prices of 167 companies increased, 71 companies saw a decrease, and 6 companies had stable prices.
On Tuesday, shares of Atmanirbhar Microfinance, Gurans Microfinance, and Saamudaayik Microfinance experienced positive circuit breakers.
In terms of trading volume, Janaki Finance topped the list with shares worth NPR 20.7 million being bought and sold.
On Tuesday, only the indices of the production and trade subgroups showed a decline.
All other subgroups saw an increase, with the indices of the development bank and finance subgroups rising by approximately 2%.
