NEP Under-19 vs HK U19: Nepal clean sweeps ODI series

Kathmandu, December 20 — Nepal Under-19s secured a comfortable victory of 130 runs against Hong Kong Under-19 in the third match of the Hong Kong Under-19s tour of Nepal played at Mulpani Stadium today.

Batting first, Nepal posted a challenging total of 265 in 49.1 overs. Suryanshu Koirala top-scored with 60 runs off 96 balls, while Santosh Yadav contributed 53 runs from 45 balls.

Captain Abhisekh Tiwari added 56 runs off 41 balls, and Naren Bhatta made a steady 36 runs.

Despite some middle-order wickets falling Nepal managed to reach 265, thanks to partnerships toward the end.

In reply, Hong Kong's chase never gained momentum, and they were bowled out for just 135/9 in 50 overs, falling well short of the target.

Preet Mangukiya was the standout performer for Hong Kong with 55 runs off 87 balls, while Abdul Samad made 23 runs.

Nepal's bowlers were in fine form, with Afrudin Rain and Abhisekh Tiwari taking two wickets each, while Deepak Serala and Rajesh Bohara chipped in with key breakthroughs.

Santosh Yadav also contributed with a wicket and a very economical spell.
