Janardan Sharma criticizes ban on 'People's War', vows revival

Kathmandu, December 20 — After the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court ordered that the term "People's War" should not be used in government correspondence, Maoist Center leader Janardan Sharma has expressed his views.

He mentioned that the ban was an insult to democracy and, in that context, also discussed the restriction on the term "People's War" via his Facebook account.

"I heard that you have been banned. Maybe they want to cool you down as you are the spokesperson for social justice," he said. "But with the demands of the era, the minds of the youth, and the development of technology, you will come again, not as an old ditch but as a wave, carrying a new identity to fulfill the aspirations of the people."

He further added, "You will ride AI with the resolve to complete the remaining tasks, aiming to meet the needs of the country, in line with the desires of the new generation. The ban is an insult to democracy. 'People's War' has been banned, but it will return."
