NEPSE index sees modest gain after consecutive declines

Kathmandu, December 17 — The share market index (NEPSE) saw a slight increase on Tuesday.

After several consecutive days of decline, the market rose by about 3 points in the final trading hours.

The index reached 2633.87 points after the modest gain.

On Tuesday, the share prices of 117 companies increased.

Support Microfinance's share price rose by 10%, while Janaki Finance and Dolti Power's share prices rose by more than 9%.

However, the share prices of 117 companies decreased, including a negative circuit for Kutheli Bukhari Hydroelectric.

RBB Mutual Fund 2 and River Falls Power Limited saw a 5% decline in share prices.

The share prices of 10 companies remained stable on Tuesday.

A total of 89,39,000 shares of 318 companies were traded, amounting to a turnover of NPR 4.34 billion.

On Tuesday, no sub-sector index managed to increase by even 1%.
