RSP supporters protest in Birgunj against Rabi Lamichhane's arrest

Birgunj, December 10 — Supporters of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) staged protests on Tuesday in Parsa against the arrest of Rabi Lamichhane.

The protests took place in Birjung while Lamichhane's statement was being recorded at the  District Attorney's Office.

The demonstrators, holding placards with slogans like "Give justice to Rabi Lamichhane," "People should not be deceived," and "Stop political vendetta," strongly protested against what they termed as political revenge.

Lamichhane was brought to Parsa on Monday to be questioned about the alleged mismanagement of funds from the Sano Paila Cooperative.

A warrant for his arrest, along with 14 others, was issued by the Parsa District Court on December 4 for the alleged financial misconduct.
