Former PM Bhattarai visits RSP President Lamichhane in police custody

Kathmandu, December 6 — Former Prime Minister and President of Nepal Samajwadi Party (Naya Shakti), Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, has traveled to Kaski to meet Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently in police custody. 

According to RSP leader Deepak Bohara, Dr. Bhattarai visited the Kaski District Police Office this morning.

Lamichhane is under investigation by the Kaski police for charges related to cooperative fraud and organized crime.

There has been criticism of the police for transferring Lamichhane from Chitwan to Kaski in the middle of the night on Wednesday.

Former Prime Minister Bhattarai traveled to Kaski to inquire about Lamichhane's condition in custody.
