NEPSE drops by 15.93 points on final trading day of the week

Kathmandu, December 5 — On the final trading day of the week, Thursday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) dropped by 15.93 points, closing at 2,734.93 points.

This week, the overall index saw a decline of 14 points.

Last week, the market closed with the index at 2,748 points.

On Sunday, the market dropped by 10 points, followed by a 20-point rise on Monday and an 18-point increase on Tuesday.

However, the market declined again on Wednesday and Thursday, with Wednesday's drop of 25 points leaving the index at 2,750 points.

Among the 201 companies traded today, 40 saw an increase in their share prices, 201 experienced a decrease, and 3 remained stable.

The total trading volume for Thursday amounted to NPR 8.36 billion.

Shares of Khani Khola Hydropower, Super Madi Hydropower, and Manushi Microfinance increased by more than 9%.

In terms of trading value, Nepal Finance Company led the day with a transaction volume of NPR 421.94 million.

The trading subgroup index of financial companies rose by 3.67%, while the life insurance companies index increased by 0.79%, and other subgroups saw a decline.
