Narpura Budha of Maoist Center elected vice-chairperson of Putha Uttarganga
Butwal, December 2 — In Rukum Purba's Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality, Narpura Budha of the CPN (Maoist Centre) has been elected as the vice-chairperson.
According to the Election Commission, out of 5,931 votes cast, Budha received 3,627 votes and was elected as the vice-chairperson.
Assistant Election Officer Ishwari Prasad Subedi informed that Kesh Kumari Tulachan of the Nepali Congress received 2,128 votes.
A total of 179 votes were invalid.
Tulachan ran for the election using the Nepali Congress election symbol. There was an alliance between the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML), while the Maoist Centre received support from the Unified Socialist Party.
