UML's Shahi wins Chairperson position of Mahabu Rural Municipality

Dailekh, December 2 — CPN (UML) has won the chairperson position in Mahabu Rural Municipality of Dailekh.
UML candidate Jangabahadur Shahi secured victory with 3,127 votes.
His closest competitor, Nepali Congress candidate Jhalak Bahadur Bhandari, received 2,675 votes.
Similarly, CPN Maoist Centre's Jangabahadur Baral Magar garnered 842 votes.
In the 2022 election, Nepali Congress candidate Lachhuman Gurung had won with 2,979 votes.
However, after his sudden death due to a heart attack, a by-election was held.
