At least 11 killed in multiple road accidents across Nepal

Kathmandu, November 30 — At least 11 people have died in various road accidents across the country.

In Kathmandu, near the Shantitol Gate in Tarakeshwor Municipality-8, two individuals lost their lives when they fell from a bus with registration number Ba 4 Kha 7111.

The victims, 50-year-old Sancha Bahadur Lama and 58-year-old Suntali Ojha, both from Nuwakot, were severely injured and died during treatment at the Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj. The bus's co-driver, who was also injured in the fall, was sent to the National Trauma Center for treatment. The police are currently searching for the absconding bus driver.

In Morang, a tractor with registration number Ko 2 Ta 3172, traveling from Chaindanda to Shanti Chowk, crashed on Friday afternoon, causing the death of the driver, 37-year-old Lala Hemram, also known as Pratu Hemram, a resident of Rangeli Municipality-8.

In Parsa, 55-year-old Birendra Sah from Jagarnathapur-1, died on Friday afternoon when he fell from a tractor with registration number Pr 2-03-001 Ta 3630. 

Similarly, in Parsa, 30-year-old Prabhu Raut Tharu from Jirabhawani-5, died on Saturday morning after being hit by a tipper with registration number Na 8 Kha 2611 while riding his scooter with registration number BR 22 BG 1452. 

In Arghakhanchi, 12-year-old Binita BK of Shitaganga Municipality-4, was killed on Friday afternoon after being hit by a bus with registration number Lu 2 Kha 1415 in Dharabazar, Sandhikharka Municipality-6. She died while being treated at the district hospital. 

In Kaski, 55-year-old Dhankumari Budha of Pokhara-25, was hit by a truck (registration number Ga 2 Kha 1460) while walking on the road on Friday evening. She died during treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital. The truck driver has been arrested by the police.

In Jajarkot, 37-year-old Suresh Mahar from Nalgad-1, died on Friday evening after being hit by a bus with registration number Bhe 1 Kha 1396 while walking on the road. He died at the district hospital while being treated for his injuries. The bus driver is under police custody.

In Siraha, 58-year-old Patiram Chaudhary of Siraha-19, died on Friday evening after being hit by a motorcycle (registration number Province 2-01-001 Pa 8521) and a car (registration number BR 01 SM 4813). Both the motorcycle and car hit him while he was walking. He died at the Provincial Hospital in Siraha.

Similarly, in Siraha, 45-year-old Ranjit Mukhiya from Nawarajpur-1, died on Friday night when the motorcycle he was riding crashed in Gulariya Chowk, Siraha Municipality-9. He died during treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Siraha. Two other passengers on the motorcycle were also injured and referred to Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar for further treatment.

In Rautahat, 25-year-old Nishant Adhikari from Sarlahi Chakrghatta Municipality-4, died on Saturday morning after his scooter (registration number BR 30 AK 1465) lost control and crashed on the road in Rajdevi Municipality-1. He died during treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Gaur.

The police are conducting investigations into these accidents.
