Ready to contest in 2027 elections: Biplav
Kathmandu, November 23 — Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), has stated that his party is ready to compete in the general elections scheduled for 2027 with all other parties.
However, he urged Prime Minister Oli to create an environment for the participation of the CPN in the elections by implementing the three-point agreement made with the government in the past.
Speaking at an event in the capital on Saturday, marking the 11th anniversary of the CPN's reorganization, General Secretary Biplav said, "The middle-class desires that the CPN participate in the upcoming elections. We want the government to implement the three-point agreement made in the past.”
Biplav added, “The comrades who have been falsely implicated in cases should be released. If the government implements the agreement we have with them, we are ready to compete with all parties in the 2027 elections. We will contest in 6,743 wards, 753 local levels, and 165 electoral constituencies."
He also clarified during the program that he intends to use the unified people's revolution in the 2027 elections.
