Rabi Lamichhane’s statement in cooperative fraud case continues on third day

Butwal, November 14 — The investigation into the Supreme Cooperative fraud case has entered its third day today, with Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) president, Rabi Lamichhane, who was brought from Pokhara to Bhairahawa, continuing to provide his statement.

On Tuesday, Rabi was brought from Kaski to Bhairahawa. When statements were taken yesterday and the day before, there were still some pending questions. The topics that were left incomplete are expected to be wrapped up today, as informed by district government attorney Prama Raj Paudel of Rupandehi.

In two days, more than 50 questions were asked, and nearly 15 more questions remain to be asked, according to the investigation officers. He has been questioned regarding cooperative fraud and organized crime.

In the case of the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud, Rabi Lamichhane, the former Home Minister, who was detained at the Kaski District Police Office, was brought to Rupandehi on Tuesday afternoon for further investigation.

The questioning of Lamichhane, which began on Tuesday, continued today as well. If his statement is completed today, the police plan to send him back to Kaski.
