NEPSE sees slight decline on Wednesday

Kathmandu, November 6 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a slight decline today (Wednesday). According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the trading indicator, the NEPSE Index, fell by 1.88 points, dropping to 2,675.51 points. The market had also seen a small decrease of 0.21 points on Tuesday.

The Sensitive Index, which tracks the trading of Class 'A' companies, also decreased by 1.88 points, settling at 477.18 points.

Despite the fall in the NEPSE Index, the trading volume increased compared to Tuesday. A total of 244 companies traded 11.6 million shares, with a total turnover of NPR 5.22 billion. In comparison, Tuesday's turnover was NPR 4.11 billion.

Among the 13 subgroups traded today, five subgroups saw an increase in share prices, while eight experienced a decrease. The Mutual Fund subgroup had the highest gain of 1.09%, while the Hotels and Tourism subgroup saw the largest drop of 0.75%.

In today's market, shares of Narayani Development Bank hit a positive circuit, while the share prices of Balephi Hydropower and Peoples Hydropower increased by more than 9%. However, the share price of Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower dropped by more than 9%.

The highest trading volume was seen in the shares of Nepal Finance, with a total turnover of NPR 35 million. Based on the number of trades, Sanima Growth Fund had the highest number of shares traded.
