National Youth Council Awards Six IT Entrepreneurs with NPR 2 Lakhs Each

Bhaktapur. The National Youth Council has awarded six outstanding information technology entrepreneurs and startup entrepreneurs with Rs 2 lakhs each.

Those awarded include Sabita Sharma of Yarsha Tech Pvt. Ltd. Pokhara, Maheshwori Kumari Singh of Satbhika Bhansaghar Kailali, Nikesh Singh of e-Kagajpatra Pvt. Ltd. Lalitpur, Sarala Maharjan of Sakal Bio Enzyme Nepal Lalitpur, Ayush Awasthi of Varmicau Organics Kailali, and Ravikiran Shrestha of Dear Sir 'Home Tuition' Pvt. Ltd. Kathmandu.

Presenting the awards, National Planning Commission member Pukar Malla stated that the potential for youth entrepreneurship in Nepal is immense and that employment and prosperity within the country should be built by promoting entrepreneurship. He noted that citizens are seeking economic achievements from the new government formed after the Gen Z performance, emphasizing the need for the government to focus its work in this direction.

Council Administrative Chief Gehnath Gautam said that six individuals were honored with awards to encourage the innovative ideas, skills, and entrepreneurial work of young entrepreneurs. At the award ceremony, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment Hemraj Tamang, former Vice-Chairman of the Council Surendra Basnet, and others emphasized the need to increase attraction towards 'startup' businesses and entrepreneurship for the country's prosperity.

Among the applicants, 15 businesses were selected and an information technology entrepreneur and startup business exhibition was held at the office premises on Friday.
