Thai Air Asia resumes flight at TIA

Kathmandu, November 4 — The Thai Air Asia has again started operating flights at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. It had launched commercial flight from Bhairahawa-based Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) from Sunday.

The Thai Air Asia is the fourth aviation service company operating commercial flight at GBIA, the second international airport of the country.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) had taken action against Thai Air Asia after its plane arrived in Kathmandu on October 27 without taking a flight permit. The CAAN allowed permit to operate flight at Tribhuvan International Airport on the condition of making flights from GBIA in Bhairahawa.

Following this, the airlines company had made flights to TIA and Gautam Buddha International Airport on the same day, Sunday.

General Manager at TIA, Jagannath Niraula, shared that Thai Air Asia would make flights at TIA every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and at Gautam Buddha International Airport on every Monday and Thursday.
