Dashain festivities begin: Swings installed in Kathmandu's hills (pictures)

Kathmandu, October 5 — With the arrival of Dashain, swings are being set up in the courtyards and squares of villages.

There is a belief that one must play on the swings during Dashain to leave behind earthly attachments.

Swings have begun to be installed around the hills of Kathmandu.

On Saturday, children were seen enjoying the swings set up at Tarebhir Narayan Danda, located on the border of Gokarneshwar Municipality and Budhanilkantha Municipality.
