Bhaktapur landslide claims three lives, including pregnant woman

Kathmandu, September 28 — Three people have died in a landslide in Bhaktapur.

Following continuous rainfall, a landslide occurred in Palase, Ward No. 9 of Surya Binayak Municipality, resulting in the deaths of three individuals who had rented land in the area.

The deceased include 24-year-old Damila Shahi (who was pregnant), her 4-year-old daughter Priya Shahi, and 14-year-old Manisha Shahi.

Currently, a 10-member team led by Assistant Sub Inspector Bhupal Bikram Shah from the Bhaktapur Police is deployed at the scene.

The police have stated that preparations are underway to collect the bodies and transport them for post-mortem examination.
