Madhesh CM dismisses eight state ministers

Birganj, August 13: The Madhesh government has decided to remove eight state ministers from the province government. The Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers announced that Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has decided to dismiss all eight state ministers currently in office.

According to the chief minister's office, a letter was sent to the province chief on Tuesday, instructing the dismissal of these ministers. The decision was made based on the consensus of the ruling parties at the Centre.

Chief Minister Singh explained that the removal of the state ministers was decided after facing criticism from various quarters regarding the expansion of the cabinet.

The province government had appointed Rekha Thakur, Neelam Kumari Rajak, Rambabu Yadav, Shambhu Sah, and Mohammad Zaid Alam as state ministers on Tuesday. Prior to that, Keshav Rai, Sharda Devi Thapa, and Ranju Kumari Mandal Khang had also been appointed as state ministers.

Tikaram Upreti from the province chief’s office confirmed receiving a letter from the Chief Minister's office to relieve all eight state ministers.
