Kathmandu - The central library of the Tribhuvan University has witnessed the sorry state of affairs.
The 2015 Earthquake and subsequent aftershocks had caused many cracks in the northern part of the library building and its front part of the upper stair has also been lying unused. It has limited the space for the central library.
It is the dire need for the University to immediately plan for the construction of a new library building with the library that was constructed in 2021 BS deteriorating day after day.
Though the National reconstruction Authority (NRA) had assured the TU to provide with Rs 170 million for new building construction, no exercise has been made to that end, said Library In-Charge Indra Prasad Adhikari.
