National Assembly Election: Ruling alliance seals deal on seat allocation
KATHMANDU: The ruling alliance has finalized the allocation of seats among its member parties for the upcoming National Assembly (NA) election, scheduled for January 25, to fill the 19 seats becoming vacant in March.
The distribution stands as follows:
Nepali Congress: 10 seats
- Koshi Province: 1 seat
- Karnali Province: 1 seat
- Lumbini Province: 1 seat
- Madesh Province: 1 seat
- Bagmati Province: 2 seats
- Gandaki Province: 2 seats
- Sudurpaschim Province: 2 seats
CPN-Maoist Center: 6 seats
- Koshi Province: 1 seat
- Bagmati Province: 1 seat
- Gandaki Province: 1 seat
- Lumbini Province: 1 seat
- Karnali Province: 1 seat
- Sudurpaschim Province: 1 seat
CPN (Unified Socialist): 2 seats
- Karnali Province: 1 seat
- Bagmati Province: 1 seat
Janata Samajbadi Party: 1 seat
- Madesh Province: 1 seat
It is noteworthy that despite claims made by the Janamorch and Janamat Parties, no seats have been allocated for these two parties, as confirmed by reliable sources within the ruling alliance.
