Rastriya Swatantra Party Lumbini Province Re-election Due to No Majority

Butwal. A re-election will be held for the post of chairman in the election for the post of chairman in the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Lumbini Province convention as no candidate secured a clear majority.

According to Chief Election Officer Gokul Sapkota, there was a competition among 6 candidates for the post of chairman. However, as none of them secured the required majority, a second round of voting will be held between the two candidates who received the most votes.

According to the election results, Salikram Ghimire (Rupandehi) received 199 votes, Gopal Ghimire (Arghakhanchi) 87 votes, Ganesh Poudel (Rupandehi) 84 votes, Dr. Rajkumar Subedi (Banke) 80 votes, Manju Bhusal (Rupandehi) 71 votes, and Madhuprasad Aryal (Rupandehi) received 19 votes. 

Election Officer Sapkota informed that the second round of competition will be between Salikram Ghimire and Gopal Ghimire who received more votes.

A total of 552 votes were cast in the voting held on Saturday evening under the convention ongoing in Ghorahi, Dang. Now, after publishing the information about the second round of voting, it was stated that if there is no agreement between the two, voting for the chairman will be held after 10 am.
