Six newly-appointed SC Justices sworn in

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: The 6 newly-appointed Supreme Court Justices have taken the oath of office and secrecy.

At a ceremony organized on Thursday at the President’s Office in Sheetal Niwas, the Chief Justice Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed Justices in the presence of President Ram Chandra Paudel.

President Paudel on Wednesday appointed Sunil Pokharel, Balkrishna Dhakal, Mahesh Sharma Paudel, Tek Prasad Dhungana, Saranga Subedi and Abdul Ajij Musalman after the Council of Justice recommended them for the positions of the Justice of the Supreme Court followed by the parliamentary hearing committee nominating them for the positions.
