NA Election: Five parties submit application
KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Five political parties have submitted applications for party registration till Monday afternoon for the National Assembly Election which is going to be held on January 25, 2024.
The parties that have submitted their applications to the Election Commission in order to partake in the National Assembly Election, are CPN UML, CPN Maoist Center, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Janamat Party, and Nepal Workers Peasants’ Party. According to an office bearer of the Election Commission, parties like the Nepali Congress, Janata Samajbadi Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, etc. have not reached the Election Commission to register their parties till now.
The Election Commission issued a notice for party registration for the National Assembly Election on Sunday where the deadline for the party registration is December 15, 2023.
An Election for 19 posts out of 20 posts turning vacant on the 3rd of March, is being held on the 25th of January.
