Public transport fares decrease in KTM from today

KATHMANDU, July 27: The public transport fares have dropped within Bagmati Province including the Kathmandu Valley starting from today.

The adjustment of the public vehicles fares will be in effect from today according to the Bagmati Province Government.

According to the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Transport, public transport fares were reduced in accordance with the drop in the price of petroleum products.

The Information Officer of the Ministry, Khagendra Paudel, informed that the fare rate of long-distance passenger vehicles within the province has dropped by 2.30 percent.

The fare rate of freight vehicles within the province (long-short distance) has also dropped by 3.18 percent. In addition, the fare rate of city buses inside the urban areas of the province has dropped by 3.26 percent.
