FNJ Saptari appeals for support to save local journo's ailing son

Rajbiraj,  A journalist based in Saptari district is hard-pressed to treat his ailing son suffering from cancer. 
Kamananda Majhi, who is the editor and publisher of the Chhinnamasta vernacular weekly published from Rajbiraj, is in dire need of money for the treatment of his son, Ganesh Majhi who is receiving treatment at the Bharatpur Cancer Hospital. Ganesh, a tenth grader at Janata Secondary School, Kharihariya, has spent six months at Bharatpur Cancer Hospital. 
According to Kamananda, his son is now in serious condition and the Bharatpur Cancer Hospital has referred him to AIIMS Hospital in India for advanced treatment. 
"The poor Majhi family do not have the money required even for travelling to New Delhi, India let alone bearing the medical cost. So, they are in distress presently," said Sudha Dev, woman vice-president of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Saptari branch. 
Meanwhile, the FNJ Saptari branch has issued a public appeal for money for Ganesh's treatment. It has requested those who want to contribute money to save a precious life to deposit the amount at the bank account number 2522524020001 at Nepal SBI Bank Rajbiraj branch.
