Decision to extend deadline by 2 weeks for consensus on TRC Bill
KATHMANDU, July 21: It has been decided to extend the deadline by 2 weeks to reach a consensus on the Bill to amend the Truth and Reconciliation Committee Act, 2071, and investigate missing people. It has been decided to give more time to the previously formed sub-committee to work.
In the meeting of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee at Singha Darbar on Friday, MPs Subash Nemwang, Sobita Gautam, Ramhari Khatiwada and others emphasized that the Bill should be brought to action with the consent of all parties.
MP Nemwang said that it would be appropriate to give 15 days to do the homework which has been given 10 days to complete.
In today's meeting, the committee was informed about the efforts made by the sub-committee to reach a consensus and also about the meetings held.
