Province 1 to be tougher against violation of NA poll code of conduct

Biratnagar, A meeting held at the Election Officer's Office in Province 1 in view of the upcoming National Assembly (NA) election slated for February 7 ended with some decisions. The meeting agreed to response strictly provided that any case of violation of election code of conduct was reported. 
The meeting has banned the placing of part flags, boards and banners in areas prohibited by the election code of conduct , deciding to continue political parties' 'focal persons' appointed in the House of Representatives and the State Assembly elections in the NA poll as well. Political parties are requested to officially inform the authority concerned by Tuesday, tomorrow if they have to change 'focal persons'. Besides, the meeting decided to again give training for voters regarding the election to take place under the single transferable vote. 
The Province 1 comprises 14 districts including Morang. 
Morang' Chief District Officer Ram Prasad Acharya, regional election officer Chief Prem Prasad Sanjel and representatives of various political parties were present in the meeting.
