Metropolitan Police to build fence around Lalita Niwas under Balen's instructions

KATHMANDU, July 2: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has instructed the Police to protect the government land of Lalita Niwas in Baluwatar. Following Shah's instructions, the Police have prepared to fence the empty land on Sunday afternoon.

Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Chief Rajunath Pandey informed Ratopati that the Police are building the fence around the vacant land to stop the construction of houses and physical structures.

"We are going to protect the land of Lalita Niwas. We will put a fence around the land if it is empty. If the houses are under construction, we have received instructions to stop them. If more decisions are made, we will work accordingly."
