Lawyers prepare to file police complaint against Premika Tamang
KATHMANDU, July 2: Lawyers are going to file a complaint against Lalitpur District Court employee Premika Tamang in Lalitpur Police with claims that Tamang asked for a bribe.
According to Nepal Bar Association Chair Gopal Krishna Ghimire, preparations were made to hold a discussion between the Lalitpur District Court administration and lawyers in the morning itself. But the Bar Association itself is going to file a complaint against Tamang at the Lalitpur Police claiming that the administration did not want to hold the discussion. According to chair Ghimire, a complaint is going to be filed against Lalitpur District Court employees Bishnu Prasad Pandey and Premika Tamang.
According to Chair Ghimire, there was a debate when Tamang asked for a bribe, followed by the attack. But claiming that Pandey destroyed the CCTV footage of the debate, a complaint is going to be filed against Pandey as well for destroying evidence, according to the information chair Ghimire gave Ratopati.
It is seen that the dispute between the employees and lawyers will become more intense after a complaint is going to be filed against the employee who took the beating. Although it was said that the court will resume at 1 pm on Sunday, there have been concerns about whether the employees will withdraw their protest or not as the lawyers are going to file a complaint against the employees.
While demanding action against those involved in the incident, the High Court Bar Association has issued a press release demanding the release, which has also seen protests from the employees.
