Fire broke out on set during shooting of "Ganpati"

KATHMANDU, June 15: A fire broke out on set during the shooting of the film "Ganpati" on Thursday. The set caught fire in the lab of the Film Development Institute at Balaju when producing smoke for special effects.

The smoke was produced for a dance scene with Barsha Sapkota and 100 other dancers. The dance was being choreographed by Kabiraj Gahatraj when the set caught fire.
According to Laxman Subedi, the fire is brought under control but the set has completely burned down. There were no human casualties in the fire but 1 million rupees worth of set was damaged.

The shooting of the scene has been stopped. The entire shooting of the film is done and only one song was left to be shot. The shooting of the song started on Thursday. Barsha will only appear in that one song. Mukun Bhusal and Menuka Pradhan are starring in the lead roles.

Along with Bhusal and Pradhan, Kabit Neupane, Suryamala Khanal, Prakash Ghimire, Rajaram Paudel, Puskar Gurung, late Jaynanda Lama, Anshu Manandhar, Kalu Rana, Tika Bhakta Jirel, Devendra Ballu, Sushil Pokharel and others are starring in the film.

The film is written and directed by Sabin Adhikari, presented by Ram Prasad Rijal and produced by Laxmal Rijal. Bigyan KC and Arbindra Giri are the executive producers of the film.
