Two Held With Marijuana in Mahottari

Kathmandu. Two people have been taken into custody with marijuana from Ajmarpatti in Ekadara Rural Municipality-3 of Mahottari. The arrested individuals are 23-year-old Sadhuram Thing, a resident of Kailash Rural Municipality-1 of Makwanpur district, and 21-year-old Bips Negi, a resident of the same rural municipality-6. They were taken into custody based on special information by a team deployed from Armed Police Force Nepal Border Outpost Bathnaha.

The arrested individuals are the owner and driver of the truck. The team tried to stop the truck numbered Na 3 Kha 6592, which was traveling from Bhedetar of Dhankuta via Jaleshwor of Mahottari towards Ekadara in the west, but it fled at high speed. The fleeing truck was taken into control by the armed police from about 2 kilometers away.

Upon taking the vehicle under control and questioning the driver, whose behavior appeared suspicious, the armed police team searched the truck and found marijuana-like substances hidden in a false button made above the driver's cabin. Additionally, Nepali rupees, Qatari riyals, Malaysian ringgits, 2 mobile phones, and the blue books of the truck and motorcycle were also found with them.
