Nepali Congress to be the largest party in Bagmati Province
KATHMANDU, Nov 26: The Nepali Congress is heading to be the largest party in the Bagmati Provincial Assembly.
As of Saturday morning, the vote count of as many as 45 seats under the direct election has already been completed. Of them, the Nepali Congress has won 18 seats.
There are a total of 66 seats in the provincial assembly under the direct election system.
So far, CPN-UML has clinched victory for 9 seats, CPN (Maoist Center) for seven, Rastriya Prajatantra Party for five seats, CPN (Unified Socialist) for four seats, Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party for one seat and Hamro Nepali Party for one seat.
According to the poll body, Nepali Congress is currently leading the vote count in six places, CPN-UML in four, CPN (Maoist Center in six, Rastriya Prajatantra Party in two and CPN (Unified Socialist) in one place in the province.
