Writ petition filed against appointment of actor Bhuwan KC as Chairman of Film Development Board

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court demanding to scrap actor Bhuwan KC’s appointment as the Chairman of the Film Development Board on Thursday.
Aspirants for the post, including Niresh Poudel and Arun Pradan filed the petition at the apex court.
The court is scheduled to hear the case on Monday.
The petitioners have demanded the court to scrap KC’s appointment raising questions on his academic qualifications, age and a rape case lodged against him that is subjudic at the court.
