CCMCC recommends school closure until Jan 29

KATHMANDU, Jan 9: The COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Committee (CCMCC) has recommended the government to close the schools up to grade 10 until January 29 in view of the rising cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). 

“A meeting of the committee held on Sunday made the recommendation to this effect,” Sunita Nepal, spokesperson for the committee told Ratopati. 

Nepal has witnessed a sharp rise in COVID-19 infections in recent days. As many as 1,167 new cases on Sunday alone.
