Visibility in Kathmandu drops to 100 meter, flights at TIA disrupted

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Aerial visibility in the Kathmandu Valley has dropped to 100 meters on Friday due to thick fog and bad weather.

Flights have been cancelled due to low visibility at the Tribhuvan International Airport. It requires a minimum visibility of 3000 meters to conduct flights.

According to the TIA, two Jazeera Airways that headed for Nepal from Kuwait are currently hovering in the sky of Simira as it failed to land at TIA due to low visibility.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, most of the parts of Nepal are currently covered with thick fog and clouds.
