Maoist Gen Convention: Election schedule to be released

KATHMANDU, Dec 30: CPN (Maoist Center)’s election commission is preparing to release the election schedule for the selection of new leadership of the party. 

According to Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, chief of the election commission, the election schedule will be unveiled once the reporting of the panel-wise deliberations over the political document of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ concludes. 

Shrestha added that the commission is preparing to publish the voters' list for the election procedure.

The party has been holding its Eight General Convention since Sunday. 

Chairman Prachanda presented a dossier on Monday and panel-wise discussions were held until Wednesday. Group leaders have been reporting on behalf of their panels starting Wednesday afternoon.
