IN PICS: Maoist Center gearing up for 8th Gen Convention

KATHMANDU, December 26: The CPN (Maoist Center) is all set to hold its three day long ‘First Historic National Conference’ that will kick off from today.

The party has invited all the major political parties to the inauguration of the event that is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu in the late Sunday afternoon.

The party will retain current Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and elect leadership in the party.

Even though the party has termed the jamboree as ‘the first historical national conference’ the party is preparing to elect its new leadership, converting the conference into its 8th General Convention.

The party is scheduled to hold an inauguration of the conference later this afternoon.
