NC’s new order of precedence, Koirala ranked 20th
KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Dr Shekhar Koirala, who had lost to Sher Bahadur Deuba in the presidential race, has been ranked in the 20th position in the new order of precedence of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC), which recently held its 14th General Convention.
According to the order of precedence prepared before the first meeting of the newly elected central working committee scheduled for Saturday, Dr Shekhar Koirala has been placed in 20th rank.
Koirala has been ranked behind newly elected 13 and former office-bearers.
Contradictory to the past practices in the party that the nearest candidate losing the presidential race used to be placed just after the party president, Koirala, who secured 40 percent votes in the run-off, has been ranked the 20th.
