Vote-count for NC President: Deuba leading with 2,046 votes followed by Koirala with 1,615 votes
KATHMANDU, December 14: Of 4,276 votes counted so far, the incumbent President of Nepali Congress (NC) and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is leading the vote-count for Nepali Congress (NC) with 305 votes.
The vote-count is currently underway at the City Hall in the capital.
A total of 4,679 representatives voted to elect 134 central members and 13 office bearers of the party.
Of 4,276 votes counted so far, Deuba is leading with 2,046 votes followed by his nearest contender Shekar Koirala with 1,615 votes and Prakash Man Singh with 335 votes.
Likewise, the incumbent Vice-President Bimalendra Nidhi has garnered 230 votes so far followed by Kalyang Gurung with 20 votes.
With this only 400 votes have remained to be counted.
As many as five individuals including PM Deuba, Koirala, Singh, Nidhi and Gurung are vying for the post of NC’s president in the ongoing 14th National Congress of the party.
