Dhungana, Rijal elected unopposed for the post of NC’s central member
KATHMANDU, December 12: Ananda Prasad Dhungana and Ramesh Rijal have been elected unopposed for the post of Nepali Congress (NC) central members.
After Jangilal Ray, who had earlier filed his nomination, withdrew his candidacy, both Dhungana and Rijal were elected unopposed from Province 2.
Candidates who filed their candidacy for various posts in the ruling NC can withdraw their candidacy by 11 AM if they want to.
As many as 548 candidates filed their nominations for 134 positions on the central executive committee of the NC in the ongoing 14th General Convention.
According to the NC’s election committee, a final list of candidates will be published after 11 AM.
The election will then kick off at 8AM on Monday.
