Kalyan Gurung files candidacy for NC Prez

KATHMANDU: Kalyan Gurung has filed his candidacy for the position of Nepali Congress president. 

Gurung reached the City Hall in the capital and registered his candidacy for the central presidency. 

He is the first candidate to officially engage in the presidential race. 

Meanwhile, the nomination process for the selection of a new working committee under the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress began at 10 AM on Saturday., 

The election process is being carried out from Bhrikutimandap and the City Hall. 

 The election committee has fixed the time for nomination till 5 PM today. The final list will be published on Sunday after addressing any protest or claim against the nominations. Provision has been made for filing nominations of candidates in 20 places in the two venues.
