Nepal’s COVID-19 vaccination status: 8.7 million people fully vaccinated

KATHMANDU: At least 8,780,433 people so far have been fully vaccinated against the novel coronavirus disease. The figure accounts for 28.9 percent of the total population of Nepal. 

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 127,753 people took vaccines on Tuesday alone. 

The data reveals that a total of 19,285,197 doses of the vaccine have been administered as of Tuesday afternoon. At least 10,504,764 people have received at least the first dose of the vaccines, shared the ministry. 

Nepal had launched the vaccination campaign against the highly infectious and fatal disease on January 27, earlier this after it received the first one million doses of Covishield vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India.
