18 injured in Iran's 6.2-magnitude quake

 

TEHRAN, The earthquake measuring 6.2 magnitude on the Richter Scale, which shook Hojadk city in Iran's Kerman Province on Tuesday, has so far injured 18 people, official IRNA news agency reported. 
Following the tremor, people rushed out of their homes and business centers show panic at the moment. 
The electricity and water flow has been disrupted in some of the adjacent villages. The Iranian security forces have been dispatched to the area. 
Besides, schools were closed in Hojadk and Krman cities on Tuesday, Omid Salajeqeh, the chief of public relations of Kerman Education and Training Office, was quoted as saying by IRNA. 
According to the state TV, the universities in Kerman city were also closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. 
The epicenter of the earthquake, which took place at 12:13 local time (0843 GMT), was at the depth of 10 km, 30.754 degrees north latitude and 57.315 degrees east longitude, Iran Seismological Center said. Enditem
