Voter education volunteers yet to reach to voters

Pokhara,  The voter education volunteers deputed to the villages and settlements under the polling centres have not reached the voters with only seven days to go for the polls.
The voters are confused on the ways of voting with the voter education volunteers not reaching their areas to inform them on how to vote in the election to the member of House of Representatives and State Assembly scheduled for December 7.
Mayadevi Sharma, a voter of Naya Bazaar, Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitan City-9, said the volunteers have not come in her area.
The voters will have to put the voting mark (the swastika stamp) indicating four election symbols printed on three ballot papers.
Voters will have to put the voting mark on only one election symbol printed on the ballot paper for the House of Representatives election. They will be given this ballot paper first. After casting vote in this ballot paper and dropping it in the ballot box meant for this, the voters will be given another ballot paper for the State Assembly where they will have to mark on one election symbol.
After this, the voters would be handed a third ballot paper where they will have to indicate their vote by putting the swastika stamp on two election symbols allocated to the proportional representation category of the House of Representatives and State Assembly election.
Since the voters have to put the swastika stamp on four election symbols printed on three ballot papers, it seems quite confusing to the voters, said one of the local voters.
The Regional Election Office has assigned the voter education volunteers to all the 317 polling stations in the district for imparting information to the voters on the ways of marking the ballot papers and casting their votes.
