Ballot boxes from 2057 polling stations brought to respective dist HQ

Kathmandu, : Ballot boxes from 2,057 out of 2,917 polling stations of 32 districts where the first phase of the House of Representatives and State Assemblies elections were held Sunday (November 26), have already been collected safely in the respective district headquarters. 
According to the Election Commission's Spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal, preparations are going on to transport ballot boxes of 129 polling stations to the destination by helicopter. Likewise, those gathered from remaining 741 polling stations are being taken to the district headquarters via land routes. The voter turnout in the first phase elections was around 65 per cent.
