Nepal’s COVID-19 graph surging at a scary rate, 60,473 cases reported in just 32 days

KATHMANDU, May 3: Nepal has been witnessing a massive surge of coronavirus cases as the country is grappling with the second wave of the virus triggered by a new variant. 

According to the data published by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Nepal reported the highest single-day case-count of 7,211 on May 2. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 caseload has hit 236,030. 

The infection rate in the country is so terrible that more than 60,000 cases were detected in the past one month. Nepal reported a total of 60,474 cases since April 1, according to the ministry.
