Two Maoist ministers resign from Lumbini Province Cabinet as their party registers no-confidence motion against CM Pokharel
BUTWAL, April 19: Two ministers of the Lumbini Province Cabinet stepped down as the ministers.
Sudarshan Baral, Minister for Social Development and Kul Prasad KC, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law resigned as the members of the Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel-led Cabinet.
KC and Baral both belong to the CPN (Maoist Center).Their party withdrew its support extended to CM Pokharel earlier on Monday.
Meanwhile, a total of 41 lawmakers belonging to the Maoist, Nepali Congress and Janata Samajbadi Party registered a no-confidence motion against Pokharel, on Monday. Maoist’s KC has been proposed as the new CM of the province.
