NA defuses two bombs found in Thehe village

Simkot, March 29 (RSS):  A Nepal Army (NA) team has defused a sutali bomb planted in-between two houses at Simkot rural municipality-2, Thehegaun in Humla. House owner Log Bhandari had informed the Thehe police post once the bomb plantation was suspected between the houses of Bhandari and Tula Rawal.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office Humla, Heramba Sharma shared that the NA bomb disposal team from headquarters Simkot had defused the improvised explosive devices.

According to the police, a sutali bomb and a socket bomb were found hidden in course of the reconstruction of the old houses of the village.

It was suspected that the then Maoists might have planted the bombs in course of the armed struggle. A copy of the old Janadesh newspaper with its edition of 2 Chaitra 2061 BS (some 16 years ago) were also found along with the bomb which prompted the suspect to suspect the plantation during the armed conflict, shared the District Police Office, Humla.

According to the Thehe Police Post, the bombs and a newspaper covered with a plastic were found between the walls of two houses of Rawal and Bhandari of Thehe.
A NA team headed by Kedar Thapa had disposed of the bombs on Sunday.
