Rajbiraj - All local levels in Saptari are to remain closed tomorrow (Sunday) to mourn the demise of 30 people, most of them from the district, in the bus plunge into the Trishuli River in Dhading early this morning.

A passenger bus (Na 6 Kha 1467) en route to Kathmandu from Rajbiraj of Saptari skidded off the road at Ghatbesi of Gajuri in Dhading before plunging into the river.

All the local levels in the district are mourning the losses of many lives in the fatal accident, according to Rajbiraj Municipality mayor Shambhu Yadav. There are a total of 18 levels--nine municipalities and nine rural municipalities-- in the district.

The decision to observe a holiday at all local levels was taken, following a meeting with their chiefs this evening, as stated by mayor Yadav.
